Today, it’s hardly possible to imagine an Internet presence without video. No matter if it’s an image film, product presentation, or a how-to video in portals such as YouTube™ – short films are always welcome. The Universal Search™ of Google™ confirms that videos are an inherent part of the Internet: Not just in classic search results, but images and videos are also being displayed for many search requests.
A video production does not need to cost a lot. Videos of high quality can be made with a small budget. And, there is no need to produce high end productions all the time: Videos created by non-professionals often appear more human and appealing. It does not mean, though, to just create videos with no mature concept, no classic script or no professional filming or post-production: The concept must be thought out beforehand.
Also, the kind of videos you produce depends, of course, on individual demands. A video production for a corporation identity is certainly of different character than a tutorial video or an advertising clip that is being spread virally.
No video production without optimization
After video production, it is important to optimize it so that the video could be found easily and watched by users. For example, in order to be listed in the Universal Search™, it makes sense to produce and upload several videos. Just as in the traditional Search Engine Optimization, the relevance to a specific topic must be confirmed – this can be accomplished with a decent quantity of videos uploaded to a corresponding subject area. Further important aspects are the file name, title and description.
In sum, video production is only the first step; video optimization is the second and of particular importance. Without optimization, users won’t find your video on the net and your video production won’t pay off.
